There is a charge of £2 for members & £3 for non-members at events in the Library, £1/£2 respectively elsewhere unless stated otherwise.

2009

APRIL Friday 24th 7.30pm at Kidderminster Library
The 16th Annual General Meeting followed by speaker Steve Singleton of Wyre Forest District Council on the Kidderminster Regeneration Programme.

MAY Thursday 14th May at 7.30pm
Presentation of the Museum proposals by consultants and members of the project team – a Public Meeting in the Corn Exchange, Kidderminster Town Hall (no charge at this event).

JUNE Tuesday 16th at 7.00pm
Stourport - a guided walk by Pauline Annis. Meet by the flag pole outside the Stourport Civic Centre (there is plenty of nearby parking).

JULY Tuesday 7th at 7.00pm
A guided tour of Kidderminster's Town Centre highlighting developments and regeneration proposals with Jackie Roberts, Kidderminster Town Centre Manager.

SEPTEMBER HERITAGE WEEKEND
Saturday 12th Kidderminster Heritage Day
Venues and programme will be advertised locally nearer the date.

SEPTEMBER Thursday 17th 7.30pm Kidderminster Town Hall
‘Springheeled Jack - The Ups and Downs of a Victorian Bogeyman’, a talk by Dr Chris Upton. (Entrance charge to be confirmed.)

OCTOBER Monday 12th 7.30pm. Kidderminster Library
‘150 years of The Volunteer Forces in Kidderminster’ a talk by John Lowles of the Worcestershire Regimental Museum.

NOVEMBER Tuesday 10th at 7.30pm Kidderminster Library
‘Inn Signs & Pub Names’, a talk with a Worcestershire focus by Anthony Collis.

DECEMBER Monday 7th at 7.30pm Christmas at St Georges
Meet at the church for welcome by Rev Hugh Burton, a tour and talk with Melvyn Thompson, author of ‘St Georges – a Waterloo Church’, organ music played by Tim Morris and followed by buffet supper in the St Georges Social Club, £5 (you are advised to dress warmly for the tour in church!).

JANUARY Monday 25th at 7.30pm - Kidderminster Library.
A Members’ Memorabilia evening

FEBRUARY Monday 22nd at 7.30pm - Kidderminster Town Hall
‘The Livery Companies of London’, a talk by Charles Talbot.

MARCH Saturday 20th at 11.00 am
Guided Historic Walk by Nigel Gilbert in Franche.
Meet at 16 Tynings Close

APRIL - AGM Friday 23rd at 7.30 pm Kidderminster Library
